Quick poll for Friday. Some blogs have been speculating about a general election well before May (which is the latest a general election can be held. The UK is in uncertain times at moment. The one thing that Cameron’s Tory Party have got right up and till now, is that we should have had a general election well before now. The reason some bloggers are speculating is purely because Labour’s youth campaigning dates end up until the end of that month (March).

It’s fair speculation, as normally, the ‘proper’ budget report is held in end of March/April, and that could mean that Darling and co wriggle out of having to deal with delivering the tough economic news (or their spin on it) and it would mean the Tories having to deal with it if they are whisked into power. That’s the Labour strategy one feels. They are clinging on for as long as they can, just to top up that hefty pension pot, and just being in power, for powers sake.

That is why dithering Gordon should just get on with it, and call an election.

Vote with your mouses now, when do you think is the most likely date for a general election?
