A political ticking time bomb?

PLENTY loves films with a political twist. This clip from V for Vendetta summarises in a nutshell what’s wrong with this country at the moment. The man behind the mask is right. We’ve forgotten why, who or what we are here for. We’ve become fixated on order. We’ve become fixated on prospering at the expense of others. We’ve become obsessed with our insecure but comforting lives. We really are living dead? We’ve had our heads buried in the sands for too long hoping that major problems will disappear like magic. POOF. Terrorism, crime, welfare and unemployment. If something is not ‘really’ done, then we’ll be forever trapped in a political whirlwind unable to really escape the clutches of a political prison. Open those doors, and free yourselves. Stand up for what you believe in…

Yet, with the ever increasing Orwellian society – you only have to look at the latest measures on the government keeping track of our every move, to realise there’s no doubt we’re living a ticking time bomb?
